Joy Espindola, Sergio Lobato and Daegil Lotterie are the people behind Sundays Translation. Their skills complement one another: translation and interpreting, consultancy and information systems. They work together to support your projects.

Joy Espindola

Co-founder · management · translation & interpreting

A translator and conference interpreter, Joy has built her career around languages and their professional challenges. After studying translation and interpreting and gaining experience in agencies and a legal translation firm, she began working independently in 2017.

Her work focuses particularly on legal and financial matters. She also works in sectors where terminology and context are crucial: luxury goods, watchmaking, jewellery, fashion, nuclear energy, food, pharmaceuticals and arbitration.

As head of Sundays Translation, she ensures that clients’ needs are understood and that they receive attentive support. Her interest in translation studies informs a careful, exacting practice that remains open to developments in the profession.

Sergio Lobato

Co-founder · consultancy & development

Based in France since 2009, Sergio has developed an understanding of linguistic and intercultural challenges through projects in a range of settings, with large businesses and growing organisations alike.

He brings an advisory perspective to Sundays Translation: understanding expectations, considering how language will be used and helping shape responses that align with clients’ objectives.

His role in the team focuses on supporting and developing the business. He pays particular attention to people, their cultural contexts and the quality of dialogue.

Daegil Lotterie

Co-founder · information systems

Daegil is responsible for Sundays Translation’s information systems. He brings his experience in technology to the organisation and day-to-day operation of the business.

His work supports the consistency of the tools, infrastructure and processes behind the business. He contributes a technical and operational perspective, with an emphasis on reliability and ease of use.

Alongside Joy and Sergio, he helps build a working environment suited to the team’s needs and the projects it supports.
